$65,000 for a Gila Sweet 16 Elk hunt. $25-40K is common for a unit wide LO hunt.

It’s a tax write-off for the filthy rich, usually anyways. Way too much money in America’s oldest pastime!

A few years ago the DBHS went for about 250K and the Rocky was around 150K. I know for a while the same guy bought the Rocky tag every year and hunted the Gorge usually.

I drew a NM coues tag this year. Maybe I'll be able to find one worth half that price...

How can one write that off a business? I would love to write that off, but can't imagine it passing muster.
These are typically considered donation, not business expense. I don’t know about NM, but my experience elsewhere was a charitable donation.

Can you provide a few examples of a true 501c charity that I can donate to for a hunting tag ?
That is something to discuss with a tax advisor On 5013C,I don’t want to share the auction I participated in, no need to invite more bidders.
