I also drew unit 2 . I never hunted new Mexico before. I see the tag is good for 2a, 2b, and 2c.

I rifle hunted it in 2016 with an outfitter, I did not see many elk (one group of 3 including a nice 5x5). I was very hot, it got up to 78 degrees each day, I never saw another hunter in the field, found two trailer camps, you should have a lot of room. I believe I hunted 10/6 to 10/10. I drew this tag first time applying in the outfitter pool. Another hunter in camp also got skunked.
