New Mexico Unit 6A and 6C?

So I drew my first ever deer tag for Nov 4-8 in unit 6A/6C. Hopefully will be able to do a little scouting in september, but we shall see. Anyone have experience with this unit?

I have hunted elk and turkey in unit 6A in the past. I haven't seen a whole lot of deer but the ones I did see were in the 6000-7000 ft area just below pines and above rocky areas. Also seen a few east of paliza canyon on San Juan mesa. Good luck I drew unit 13 same time as you.

It's beautiful country up there. Turkey hunting sounds like a blast! Thanks for the info. My brother-in-law drew archery elk for unit 13 in September; I might be able to join himt here. Will let you know if I see something.
