New Platypus water bag bad taste

I have washed out a new platypus water bag. The water still tastes like garden hose water on a hot day. Any other way to get the rubber taste out?

Put the carbon in line filter with it after it comes out clean from the actual filter. Did it with mine and it tastes fine. Don’t leave the bag in the sun either. I found that made the taste much more apparent.

Put some bleach in the water and let it sit a few days before. Seems to clear up plastic smell and taste.

Or try the cleaning agents for Dentures. A tab in the water and letting it sit for awhile is very effective.
