Looking for a new kitchen scale for weighing packs of burger when butchering and other basic kitchen/packaging needs. I have a cuisinart that works great but it has a quick auto shutoff that annoys the hell out of my wife (always turning off). I’m looking for a replacement that has a manual shutoff or stays on longer. Recommendations?

I’ve been very happy with the cheapie Eat Smart scale from Amazon. It does autoshutoff but turns on and tares quickly, at least in comparison to my previous scale that had been 2x the price but half as responsive.

I have a 8 dollar amazon special. Works great. Not sure the brand. It had a couple thousand reviews.

Thanks. Does it stay on for a while or does it auto shutoff pretty quick when not in use?

ive never thought “this stupid thing keeps shutting off” so if it doesn’t it hasn’t been an issue. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t shut off quickly. The tare feature is nice as well so you can use a plastic Tupperware to hold the meat.
