New species in my yard

I've been living on and running game cameras on my 10 acres for about 5 years now. I have pictures of deer, coyotes, muskrats, ducks, dogs, cats, beavers, squirrels, etc. But this is totally new to me. A hen turkey! Thoughts on how to keep or encourage her and maybe others (there can't be just 1 right?) to stick around?

This time of year they seek out new areas for nesting.

I start seeing them on farms that I never see them otherwise. Not much you can do right now, but can look at nesting cover and brood cover for the future.


Getting rid of raccoons helps too.

They tend to like chufa if in your planting zone
