As stated, i just got a hardly used model 7 chambered in 7SAUM and am curious as to what other members are shooting from theirs. I got 200+ rounds of unfired remington brass, along with 140 rds of factory 140gr ammo. Plus i received 200- 150gr nosler partitions as well. With the current shortage, i just looking for a starting point with this gun . Thanks in advance

Sounds like you got a bunch of really hard to find components with the rifle. The only reason I haven’t built a RSAUM is because I can’t find brass.

Go to the link below and scroll down to the bottom of the page. Good info.

Yea, i got really lucky as the gentleman had all the brass and ammo to go with the rifle, that was basically what sold me on the gun. Got to digging some more in the box and found 100 new nosler brass as well. I guess i'm set in that area, now to do some load workup.

I'd probably pounce on the next 8lb jug of H4350 or H4831 that you see...You'll want something in this medium-slow range. Possibly as slow as RL23.

Congrats on the great find. I love my Model Sevens. I’ve done some testing with 140 grain Partitions and 160 grain Partitions and Accubonds. 4350(IMR or H) gave good velocity with the 140s. RL26 and IMR7828SSC gave me good velocity with the 160s.

Good luck. PM me if you have anymore questions.

Thanks for the info, i have 4350(IMR & H) but no RL26 nor 7828SSC. I do, however have quite a bit of H4831SC and a little RL19.

H4831sc was money with 150gr ballistic tips. 62gr. 3000fps full case but not compressed. Never should have sold that rifle

H4831SC was very accurate with 160 grainers, but was incredibly slow. Actually, it’s been slow in everything I’ve tried it in.

Maybe yours won’t be slow. Good luck.

Not necessarily going to stick with nosler, that's what i have the most of. I do have some 160gr TSX and 160gr Speer GS and will try to procure other powders as they become available, IF they become available. Are you guys using magnum primers or are standard LR working? Have read that either will work

My 7 SAUM shot 143gr hammers very well and killed the one thing I shot them at so far. It also liked the 150gr ELDX, which I haven't had the greatest of luck with in other chambering's. Hammers were sub 1/2 MOA and the ELDX were right around 1/2 MOA.

H4350 has delivered phenomenal SDs for me with decent speed so that's what I use. I think there are better powders for speed if you can find them. If I had my pick Id probably try H1000 next. I know H4841SC is always a solid option too.

Fed 215 or 215Ms (when I can find them)

I have one 139 SST H4831sc at 64.5 grains shoots .5 inch. Nosler 160 accubond factory ammo shoots just under an inch. My rifle loves H4831SC

Glass bed the action and recoil lug, free float the barrel, clean/polish the Bore and Throat with, JB's for a good "break in" then,.. keep it "cool" and enjoy, a FINE Caliber !

Just received an HS Precision stock and a Timney trigger for it. I will probably bed it but going to see how it shoots first and then try to find some more bullets, they seem pretty hard to find right now.

I have the same rifle. try 62.5 H4831SC with 140 ballistic tips it easily shoots .5 moa 3 shot. It is a hot load but provided the best accuracy. 2.828 coal Rem mag primers. Rem brass. 3180 fps 22 inch barrel
