Nightforce NXS 2.5-10x42 vs. SHV 3-10x42

Who has had both and can comment on relative performance? I've never heard what, of any difference there is internally. NXS has zero stop and better, in theory, illumination. I had an SHV with the Forceplex, non-illuminated. For this I'd go with illuminated MOAR or the Mil reticle on the NXS.

I have both. Ran an SHV for a long time until I got a deal on a NXS. I don’t think I would have upgraded without the deal but I also wouldn’t sell the NXS for a SHV.

Rambling aside, the NXS zero stop is a huge plus. I like that the elevation turret is not capped. Makes for quick adjustments in the field. NXS you also get illumination and parallax adjustment, where as the SHV you have to pick one.

Bottom line, I would buy and use both with confidence!

Went from an SHV to an NXS and dont feel there was any difference other than the the obvious features of the NXS.
