I actually won a Howa 1500 6.5 creed at a local ducks unlimited dinner. It came topped with the above mentioned scope. Just looking to see if this is a worth it scope or not. I’ve looked online and it seems to be a $300 scope. I have thought about putting a 6x swfa after reading so many good reviews on here but wanted to see what others more knowledgeable than myself have to say.

And on a side note, I had planned on taking a 270 win. Next fall for elk because a new rifle just wasn’t in the budget with other needed purchases. My question is would u take the .270 or 6.5? Or is either really fine, assuming weight is comparable on both.

I've only had limited experience with Nikko Stirling scopes, but from the little I've had I'd recommend you toss it in the lake, super quick.
Caliber wise, I'm a fan of bigger being better.
