Nikon 1 S1

Here's the deal I drew Colorado Archery Unit 61 and am in desperate need of a new camera to document the scouting and hunting trips. I am looking at the Nikon 1 S1 as B&H Photo has them on special for $299 w/ free shipping. Does anyone on the forum have any experience with the Nikon 1 series of cameras? To me this seems like a great deal on a camera with changeable lenses. I am interested in all thoughts and comments.

I had the J1, and now have the V1. The S1 is the most "point and shoot" body version.

Image is quality is much better than small sensor compacts, but a little lower than Micro 4/3 and APS-C sensor MILCs.

They keep expanding the lens lineup and introduced three new bodies, so it seems like the system will be around a while.

Video capabilities are very good.

am a canon man but buy everything from b&h . not sure what the nationality is as all cs people have the thick foreign accent , but they are top notch in my book
