The 18-200 lens on a D3100 really is a great do all set-up. However if you want a lightweight DSLR set up then buy this D3100 then pick up the f1.8 35 mm prime lens. That lens is great and cheap and it gives you a great set-up to bring in the bush with you. Here are a couple pictures with my D3100 and 35mm prime lens.
