SOLD

Alright, if you're looking for a lightweight backcountry spotter, your search has ended. This puppy weighs just 1 lb. 9 oz. with both caps and the stay-on case on it. It comes with the best zoom eyepiece available for this scope, the highly regarded MC II 13-40x. Those eyepieces go for $275 routinely on Ebay. This scope was discontinued by Nikon, but are still available if you have $400, pay shipping from Japan, wait a month and have an eyepiece ready when it arrives (like I did).

Or, you can just skip all that AND get the neoprene case that my wife sewed a zipper in so you can leave it on while you use it. :D

This really is a sweet little scope. Only reason I'm selling is I bought a straight 60mm Nikon from a member here because I usually use my scope from the truck. But if you need a backpack scope, this is your huckleberry.

I'll start out at $600 shipped to your door and will drop the price by $20/day until I get the first "I'll take it."

Will also consider a trade for a clean pair of 8x32 Zeiss Conquests.

I've got the same and love it. Light and clear...that's definitely the best zoom eyepiece and you can interchange other eyepieces if you want, and share eyepieces w other nikon fieldscopes.

I already had plans to add a zipper to the case too...glad to see it works for you and that's nice added feature.

Bump for a great backpacking setup. 👍

Thanks for the bumps guys. Yes, it's a great little scope. I just don't use it in the backcountry as much as I thought I would, and when you run it on a window mount, the angled eyepiece is not ideal.

I looked for that eyepiece for a long time and it really is as good as folks said it was. It killed the 13-30 I originally had on the scope, and really isn't that much bigger or heavier.

This scope fully rigged weighs less than my 10x42 Conquest binoculars! LOL
