Nikon fieldscope 60mm ed III vs Vanguard endeavor 82hd

I was contemplating between a used Nikon fieldscope 60mm edIII or a new Vanguard 82hd. How do they compare to each other as far as optical clarity? I'm leaning more towards the nikon but have heard good things about the Vanguard 82hd. I have read the review on here of the 65 but it seems the 82 has higher reviews. Let me know your thoughts.

I’ve got a Vanguard 82. It’s a pretty good scope. A lot of features for the money. It’s is heavy and the focus isn’t quite as sharp as I’d like it to be. That said in the price point it is hard to beat

I called Doug and ended up with the Kowa 602 with the zoom eypiece. Should be a great scope from all I have read. If you guys need help on your decision of spotters call Doug he will help you at and give you a great deal.

Had both scopes you mentioned in your post. The Nikon ED blows the Vangaurd out of the water. Takes about 30 seconds to see they are in a different class (to my eyes).
