209000 applicant. Record year. I knew that would be the case as it seems that people think keeping license money somehow makes it a more attractive draw.

after a couple years of not drawing I drew first choice archery elk and deer! cant wait!!

I think it was a smart call by nmdgf. For the longest time a guy could get in the game with nothing on the line besides a few dollars for the app and fronting the tag cost. The department should see a decent boost to their bottom line and didn't seem to scare away all the applicants as some speculated.
