Hello All,

I'm in a pickle and need some advise. The old man and I are going to Northeast Montana in November, near the Glasgow area, to hunt mule deer and are looking for some locations to set up a larger camp with a wall tent. It's our first time in Montana and our summer trip was cancelled due to the wildfires. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Check along Bitter Creek road North and West of Glasgow. Haven't been there in over 20 years, but looked like it had a lot of good tent spots.

If the weather is bad and the roads are wet recommend not getting off pavement or seriously improved gravel roads.

There's a campground by Fort Peck dam that's not that far from Glasgow. But that's going to be other people staying around you.

I believe the marina campground stays open as does the Lakeridge. Or he could just set up on one of the points around the lake. In the summer it's loaded with campers. I'd offer our place, but don't think the neighbors would like a big tent set up! Ha!
