Northern CA Backpacking trip

[Tips n Tails]

Spent a few days doing a “DIY” backpacking trip. Saw numerous bear to include a blonde phase black bear w/2 cubs and several deer; mostly does. I was able to connect w/this 4x4. Hornady 165 GMX copper did the job < 40 yds. Found most of deer holding tight in the weather streams on or off their deer “highway” trails.

That’s a nice buck congrats. My son and I have been talking about a trip like that for awhile. We just need to do it. Thx for reigniting the desire to hunt here in Ca.
