I shot a white tail buck and a white tail doe with my 7mm rem mag using a 160 gr accubond last fall and it performed great. Doe was 334 yards and the buck was 210. The buck was quartering towards me and I shot him in front of his shoulder and it exited behind the off shoulder. The doe was facing me at a slight angle. The bullet entered on the left side of her chest and exited about a foot or so in front of the right rear quarter. I’ve also shot several mule deer and a mountain lion with the 160 gr and I’ve had excellent performance. My hunting buddy uses the 140 gr accubonds in his .270 and he’s done well on mule deer and elk. I think the 140 gr accubond would be great in a .270 for everything from White tails to elk. We’ve had good luck.
