New to reloading. Purchased some powder because I found some in-stock and based on my research it’s been some what hard to find. Just now received my nosler reloading book and learned that none of the powder I purchased is recommended for .300 wsm 180 grain bullets...

I thought I did my research and hit a home run with what I bought but nosler may think differently? What I bought:
IMR 4831
Winchester 760
Hodgdon 4350

Anyone have advice?

Thank you, that’s helpful. I also have a hornady manual coming too. It just disappointed me that the powder I bought wasn’t listed as one of their recommendations.

Looks like you have what you need as long as you have primers as well

You should be able to use that info if your compentent in reloading. I have also attached nosler 7 manual and w760 is Winchester 760.

I’m not at all but I aim to learn :) Yes I did know that w760 is Winchester, I must’ve missed it when I looked over it. Good to know at least one of them is on there.

@BenHankins , since you mentioned that your new. I’d suggest starting with w760 since its straight out of Nosler. Reason I say this is until you learn pressure signs that could potentially be there from the Hogdon site.
I’d start at 61.5 increasing by half grain increments towards the max shown load. Load three at each charge then go shoot the groups. For example 3 @61.5, 3@ 62, [email protected], 3 at 63 etc.

Thank you I really appreciate that information. I plan on diving into a couple of manuals and some more YouTube before I begin. I’m also hoping a local guy I know can mentor me.

I'm sure you could trade the H4350 for whatever you want (up to a small house) if you end up wanting to load with a different powder.

Seems to be in high demand.
