Hey folks,
We're currently rolling out push notifications. Cool eh? It will allow any thread follows to push a notification to your browser or phone. Here's the downside... it currently doesn't work for iOS... Here's a statement from the developers.
-----
Unfortunately for reasons beyond our control (read: it's Apple's fault) the list of supported devices/browsers notably excludes any iOS-based browser. This functionality is made possible by making use of a number of APIs including the Push API and Notification API which most browsers support already.
-----
Okay, how to enable them... as long as you don't have notifications blocked for all sites already - click on the "Enable push notifications" that will pop up as you navigate the forums
Notifications on a PC will look like this -
Andriod notifications will come across like this
For those of you who have already blocked all notifications (Like me) here's the how-to on allowing them on chrome, firefox and safari. If you use internet explorer... time to switch to chrome or firefox.
Allow notifications from rokslide on chrome
Allow notifications from rokslide on Safari
