I've been treating nubuck boots (Lowa, Danner, etc) with obenauf's LP with no issues for years, but bought some zamberlan 980s a little over a year ago and looked into the care for them. Going down the rabbit hole I found out some interesting things. Like 1) nubuck doesn't need to be conditioned 2) you just need to brush them off and spray them with a silicone based spray or what not and 3) in reality I've been treating my nubuck boots like full grain or waxed leather boots. In conclusion I've been doing the same thing with my lowa tibets for years and never noticed any breathability issues or anything so keep doing what I've been doing or are zamberlan and numerous other sources just being overly protective when it comes to care?
