OnX question.

Why does my OnX keep doing this? When I open it up it shows the sat image but as soon as property owners show it goes to generic looking map overlay. Turning off map layers does nothing. It still changes after a few seconds.

I believe you need to update to the newest version of the app. Happened to me before .....

Cause its a horribly designed app that doesn't work half the time.

Yep hate thier app works randomly but is very consistent at sending me messages about onx products and features. I've had terrible luck with thier app working when I wanted/needed it to even with full cell coverage

Mine does something similar to that at times. It covers the whole map in a “dark” layer. I’ve tried reinstalling, updating, turning different layers on and off. Nothing works.

Yep same here. Well looks like I just have to hope it holds up and they get a fix for it soon.

Just wanted to give an update.

It was all USER ERROR. I found our the Nautical layer was on. Turned it off and it’s working perfectly.
