Hey folks, I'm wanting to put some wraps on some new arrows. I picked up some Oracal 651 (on sale at Michael's for 5.99 for a 12"x5' roll right now btw) and I was comparing that to the Oracal 751. The 751 is .5 mil thinner, so I'm guessing its lighter too. I know a lot of people have used the 651 for homemade wraps, has anyone tried 751?

This is an old thread - but I'd be interested to hear if anyone has an update.

Ive used both, and dont see any advantage in the more expensive 751 unless you want to save a few grains on the back of your arrow. I just weighed both cut at 1x4.5", the 651 is 7.6 grains and the 751 is 4.8.

I've been using Oracal 651 since shortly after I started this thread. It works great! I just prep the shaft by making sure all previous glue is off the shaft, and giving it a good wipe down with denatured alcohol or rubbing alcohol. I fletch with Q2i vanes and loctite ultra gel control, and they hold like steel.
