Just moved to central Oregon 30 minutes from Eugene on 18 acres. Backing up to 280 acres of Weyerhauser I have access to which was clear cut about 10 years ago. Very scrubby, lots of black berries. Weyerhauser land then connects to a lot of BLM.
Originally from Michigan, would be very appreciative if there was someone willing to show me the ropes on elk and black tail.
I've seen about a dozen black tail does, and several hen turkeys with poults. Also think I've got black bear scat. No bucks, toms, or elk yet. Previous owner claimed to have shot a cow elk a couple years ago and see elk often.
Hope all the OR/WA/CA folk are safe from the fires.
