Oregon restriction change, no more open ignition required

FYI for all the OR muzzleloader hunters out there, open ignition is no longer required.

I would have preferred them to go further toward the traditional side personally. I really don't think allowing closed ignitions will change much since they still require BP or sub and no centerfire. Not sure a person could even find a closed ignition for most guns and still shoot musket caps or 11's, defiantly don't think I could load my night without the open bolt. If anyone has a suggestion on how to seal up the ignition on a night UL and still shoot #11’s I’m all ears.

Yes it's in the new regs. Ya I suppose the tape trick would work now, didn't realize that you couldn't do that before being it was technically still and open ignition, not really much difference covering it with tape or a jacket, cover, or even your hand. To me open ignition was the guns ignition source, I would still think a person could cover it in poor weather.
