Has anyone used the orvis upland softshell pants? I have been looking at a lot of pants for busting through brush and these caught my eye on the black ovis website. I have been looking for some tough pants that have ventilation and not made of cotton. They will mostly see their use walking through pulped off forest in central Wisconsin so lots of thorns and swamps.

I have not used them, but grouse hunting in roughly the same area 10-15 days per year, I wear the Orvis Missouri Breaks pants. Used to run all different kinds of pants with Filson chaps over them, but I've found the MB pants have eliminated the need for chaps entirely. Over 60 degree temps and you will sweat a bit, but they do breathe better than most upland pants.

I've looked at the soft shell pants before but I just can't see them holding up for what I do.
