Is this a gen 1 or gen 2?

I believe it is a gen 1 but am happy to take any pictures that would differentiate. The feet are a rubber cone

Does it have a detachable center post like described in this video?

No the original center post is one smooth aluminum tube. It could be cut off to a shorter length but does not have the components to unscrew 3-4” down like in the video
