Packable insulation ….what is everyone running ?

Switched to Kryptek Ghar last year and was very happy, used SKRE Ptarmigan before that, these are both 5oz fill minimum jackets which is on par with SG and Kuiu SD Pro. Ghar actually has much more fill with the synthetic mapping areas.

I wouldn't consider anything with less than 5oz of 800+ fill.

When there is snow on the ground and temps below about 40 for a high and any sitting in 20s I take the FL Chamberlain

Kryptek Ghar, Feathered Friends Helios, Montbell makes a bunch of jackets across a range of fill weights and sewn through or box baffled for really cold. Goosefeet gear will make you a custom jacket with however much down you want. Nunatak if you don't need it til 2022 lol.

Enlightened equipment puffy jacket. Super warm and super light weight but kind of delicate. I also have an arcteryx atom lt and I love it as well. Super warm but ventilates really well when you’re wearing it on the move.
