What length barrel are you rockin in this pic?

22” barrel length plus an Area 419 muzzle break

I carry mine in the meat shelf on the SG frame. The tripod sits on top of the folded buttpad and rides nice and snug parallel with the rifle rail/barrel. I am not moving and glassing as much as some of you though.

did you try the SG quick release sling? that would be my preference but it doesn't look like it would seat well. I might try your method instead

No I haven’t tried it, really prefer having it in the center up against the frame. However, I am not a western hunter so my method may not be best for everyone. I am primarily walking in and doing day hunting from a static position.

Do you think hiking/scrambling might jostle the scope?

Never worried about it or seen evidence of it with the scopes I use.

Generally side-carry for me. The weight of the rifle is offset by the weight of a tripod/spotter on the other side of the pack.

A locking buckle is a tremendous help at keeping it secure.

This is the way. I tried a couple of other configurations, but everything either flagpoled, pushed the scope into my side, or made me worried about sitting down too hard and trashing my scope.

Unrelated note, I had to laugh. When I first saw this picture I thought, "Somebody copied Mark's set up." Then I saw who posted it. Figures you would be the one to dial it in!

Any chance you have a pic of the bow hook/marsupial case set-up?? Having a hard time picturing it in my head.

Sorry I forgot about this thread, with out standing in front of mirror here's the best I can do, hopefully this helps... best part of a folder is the option of carrying it a multitude of ways...using the bow hook and chest strap is the fastest for retrieving the rifle, but some times annoying is just covering ground, then using the bow hook w side strap you can still retrieve the rifle with out removing the pack but better option when covering ground... best option if moving is the goal of to toss it directly in your bag

I'll probably give this a try once I get mine in hand around April some time
