Woodbow, tape over the muzzle fixes your problem and does not change POI when shot.

I will just add that if you end up going muzzle up, absolutely use something to cover the muzzle. In retrospect that seems really obvious. I carried mine muzzle up and uncovered and it cost me a chip shot at a sheep. Some small debris found their way into the muzzle and made their way to the bolt face (empty chamber). When it came time to make a shot happen in a hurry, I could not get a round to chamber. It dented the neck of every round that I tried to force in. The opportunity disappeared and we had to hike our guts out to create another one. I also had to take a 533 yard shot instead of a 225. The distance the sheep traveled from blown opportunity to 2nd opportunity added a considerable amount of time to the pack out as well. Cover the muzzle!

Also check for patch threads after cleaning. I had some cases stick hard in mine once and had a line in them, I was confused for a moment and then fished out a thread from my chamber. /Tangent.

Mine was absolutely debris. I'm talking like sediment around 1 mm that was visible on my bolt face. It felt like such a rookie mistake. Never again. I will definitely be covering with tape in the future.

Wasn't doubting it at all, just reminded me of another "gotcha" scenario I've game across. I was able to chamber/fire the brass but then it'd form around the string and not want to extract.

I know but can't decide to pull the trigger on a rambler, the CI capacity is small and i hate the side pockets.I sold my 22 mag because i was always piss off about the pockets but i do like the desing of the rambler.Nomad same thing,i dont know if i will like a wings style bag,its expensive to just order one only for trying one haha!!!

Maybe the will redesign the Rambler for 2017,not sure if it was Ryan saying that somewhere????

The Kifaru nomad would be super dope for that. You could do the gun bearer too and tape over the muzzle. We do that all the time and it doesn't effect ballistic performance.

Reaper,
Is your shelter in picture #8 a SO Little Bug Out? Do you run a nest and at times a stove? If so what is your set up?

Yes it is the LBO with the 3 piece vestibule and i sewed my own stove jack on it and i also use the nest.My stove is a small oval from Kifaru.I will also run the new connecting tarp(soon to be release) who will fit better a base+tarp+3pv set-up for family camping and hunting with a partner.

Taping the muzzle is the easiest and I always tape it anyways. If you really want to run a scabbard sewing your own pals matrix into an original Nomad is easy as well and only takes about 20 minutes with some upolstry thread and a sail needle.
