I had some extra parachute material laying around the house (an old out of service mc1-1c), and I threw together a few meat sacks.

I wasn't trying to be exact with dimensions. The largest bag is way bigger than I'll probably ever need, but it did hold all 160lbs of me without any issues.

All five bags, with draw cords and hanging handles weigh 14oz.

Has anyone else used a parachute to make game bags, and if so, what dimensions are you using?

I plan to make a few bags that'll fit elk quarters and a few smaller bags for loose meat.

Here are the handles I used. It's webbing that came in the chute.

Nice. I had an old chute converted to a fly for a big canvas tent of ours. Snow sheds off it very nicely and the things will last forever.

Sweet.
I was wondering how many cats that big bag would hold then the next pic is your dog.
Awesome stuff.

You could fit a dozen litters of cats in the big bag. My dog is in the skinny bag just left of the water bottle.

Not a bad idea. I have an old T10 that I never had a use for... Now I have some ideas. Thanks.

Here's another use for a full parachute

If you string it up tight, it does a good job of keeping the rain off of you, and it doubles as a spark arrester.
