Patagonia Men's 3 in 1

I was wondering if anyone has used the Patagonia 3 in 1. I am looking for a reviews as a general use jacket but also in extreme austere conditions. Is it warm, with and without added layering underneath? Is it durable? I seem to be finding mixed reviews on both of those, but it sounds like some people just want to complain.

If you think it is not a quality piece of equipment, what others would you recommend. Think early season Alaska.

I won't buy Patagonia or other brands that actively oppose my livelihood or lifestyle. I spend my dollar with companies that do. Patagonia is off my list.
