Phone Skope = Loss of Magnification?

I have a phone skope for my iphone on my Vortex Razor spotting scope. My FOV via the phone skope is fine and clear, I just feel like I don't have the same magnification looking through the phone skope/phone as I do with just my eye? I'm new to Digi scoping and want to make sure there isn't something I'm missing.

All the way zoomed in I can't see hits on paper at 200yrds while looking through the phone, but can if I use my eye.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any thoughts or recommendation's?

I really think Iphone skope photos are WAY over rated! My preference is a good quality super zoom camera or camcorder. My Nikon has an 80x lens that is pretty darn good for field judging critters back home on a computer or big screen. I also have a backup Canon with around a 65x lense and a small camcorder that has amazing zoom range. It's always nice being able to view large photos and video rather than a dot photo that is sometimes blacked out around the edges with a phone-scope.
