This is home on one of the exceedingly few days with nice weather... ("home" as in I live in the immediate area. This is the local restaurant and vacation homes.)

Taken at my home, right off my front porch on one of our very not uncommon thunderstorm days. One of these days, I'll get out and chase some storms to get better lightning shots. Some that I have seen are spectacular, and I would love to snap a few of my own. Best I have so far.

Nice cloud-to-ground pic. I am curious what you used to take that picture.
If today is lightning photo day, here's a few I took a while ago with my phone (Galaxy S9) with the LIGHTNING CAMERA app. I've been very impressed with the app. If I remember, I'll post a sequence of a single strike some day.

I used a long exposure with a Canon SL1 on a tripod. Tamron 17-50 F2.8 Lens. I'd have to look up the settings.
