Looks like you're having a nice fall! Unfortunately, our summer ended on Sept. 20, and winter started the next day. The good thing is, it looks like we're going to have a nice long ski season.

Unfortunately the high country hasn’t gotten much in the way of snow either; many of our Snotel sites are only showing ~ 10% of normal snowpack. Messed with our elk harvest too (mine anyways!). Still time to make up ground though.

I'm still looking at past photo images of warm places we've visited in January. After 35 years of Alaska winters they are wonderful starting in February when there's enough light to enjoy it!
