It's not wildlife related, but I did skip opening weekend of rifle season for the first time in 12 years to take my son to see BigBoy 4014

Oh ok that makes sense! Good shot!

Not one I was proud of, was a hard quartering to shot and I hadn't learned the patience yet to wait for a better one, had another bear run when I was at full draw at 15 yards earlier that day so I guess I was nervous that would happen again. Aimed for the shoulder/lungs but I guess target panic is a whole other beast when it's a mature bear looking straight at you 30 yards away and it's just you and him. Managed to recover him though, did get some field photos but this was the best grip & grin I got with him and my photo for today...still eating my way through that batch of chorizo, it turned out excellent.

The arrow sitting on the desk is the one that killed him.
