Pig hearts...

I’m hunting in North Texas and am currently running few pig traps.

I keep my deer hearts and eat them but am wondering if I can do the same with pigs.

Anyone have experiment with pig hearts?

I cut & saute my deer hearts with some salt, pepper and onions. I would imagine that you can with the pigs as well as long as you clean/cook them thoroughly.

I have killed several here in East TX but have not tried the hearts. My only thing with them is trichinosis and brucilosis. I don't really care to get either one of them...

I went pig hunting in Arkansas and when I told the outfitter that I wanted the pig heart, he looked at me and said he doesn't eat it...then threw it in the trash with the gut pile. I was pissed...he didn't get a tip.
