Awesome tip. Definitely doing this.

My lazy man's solution was putting gear under my sleep mat to make an elevated headrest. I sleep with 2 pillows at home and this helps me get away with one or just a puffy jacket.

Anyone used one of those Thermarest pillows? I like the idea but I'm afraid the memory foam chunks would feel lumpy.
