Just gauging things here because I'm new to archery - I've been seeing lots of people decking out their hunting bows with neon strings, limb dampeners, stabs, grips, and slings. When I see this on a hunting bow my mind equates it to this on cars:

Is it just me? Am I being too judgmental?

I'm not about all the matching stuff, but I do think it looks cool. Luckily most creatures that I kill don't know what coool is! It's not my thing, but I don't care if others choose to spend their money on coordinating colors on their gear. To each their own, as long as they are out enjoying the wild.

Neon strings and neon colors - I agree with you for a hunting bow. I go the muted earth tones - Brown, Black, Dark Green when I replace stuff.

But everything else you mentioned serves a purpose, and has its place even on a hunting bow.

On one of my bows it originally had the dark green and brown strings on it. I'd set that bow down and come back and have trouble finding it.......all the time, as the whole thing blended in well. So I put bright orange and fire red strings on it so I can find it easier. So that has function too. But for everything else.......I even have strips of brown Leukotape covering my PSE logos because the sun shines off them. So bling really isn't my thing. Everything has a purpose.

Strings seem reasonable, I'm more talking about having matching gaudy accessories. This stuff doesn't bother me, I was just curious if I was the only one who saw it this way.

I do like all my stuff to match, but I don't do the bling and neon colors. Mine was done in snow camo with black out. The biggest reason was it resembled the aspens I often hunted out of best. It blends super well when in front of my fusion camo. I dipped my bow myself using the new hydro graphics process. I have done a few bows, and guns now and it is easy and fairly cheap to do at home.

I'm usually pretty simple but did get crazy making sure parts matched- stayed with while/black as a theme
Ill get pics up when I can

The only thing I see on bows that I really don't get is the neon colored faux barbed wire.

Dang nice bow.

I like some bright color on the strings but not anything else.

Not bad for a 370 fps do it your self bow lol
And it isn't all pimped out like some are. Don't get me wrong- I like matching stuff, but I like to be macho too and not snow flakey
:)
If that offends any one I apologize up front , but stand by my opinion just the same
;)
I love the PSE bows- been shooting them since 1983

I ordered a flo orange (and it came out brighter than I imagined) sting and serving on my Halon 32. Got a little orange line on my grip and orange dampers for another $100....

All other accessories are black so the orange really pops on the Ridge Reaper.

You mean like this? Honestly, if it gets the wife more excited to shoot, I'm all about it!

Although she only has been able to hunt one season, she hasn't noticed any negative side effects to having a pimped out hunting bow.
