Hello All,

I hope everyone is doing well! I'm getting ready to order MBG Pure Driven 75, however I'm torn on what pin size to get. I'm stuck on either the .019 or the .010. I'm all ears to any suggestions!

Thanks!

I like 0.019 for 20-40 and beyond that I like 0.010. I like to see what I am aiming at and these pin sizes allow me to still see my point of aim. If you don't mind just covering your aim point then you might be ok with all 0.019

I use a .01, single pin. For the same reason above, I like to see what I'm aiming at

Sorry I should have mentioned this is a single pin slider sight.

The single pin MBG sights have a lot more fiber to them than the standard fixed pin heads and as a result flow way brighter. For this reason I went with .10 on my pure and it ends up being slightly smaller than a standard .19 fixed pin. Never if any low light issues with it.

All depends on your eyes and how comfortable you are with pin float.

I tried the bottom two pins on an 8 pin Axcel at .10 and I couldn't see them. They were just too small. I sent the sight back and had them replaced with .019. Everyone talks about low light but that is actually the only time I could see mine. In bright light they just disappeared. The brighter it was the worse it got.

You will also notice the float with them much more than a bigger pin. They really accentuate movement. The more you try to hold them still the worse that will become.

One of those things you will just have to try and see if it works for you.

I have a single pin slider and I chose .010 but I think I'd choose all .010 even if I were using a multi-pin sight. I like to see my target uncluttered.

Depends on brand as well. Some brands .010 fibers are small than others .010. I personally shoot .010 on my Spot Hoggs. I tried shooting .010 on a CBE a few years ago and it was noticeably smaller than the spot hogg .010.

What he said...I might even go 0.010 for 40 yards when I get a new sight.

.19 or bigger for me. But I only hunt with my bow. I don't need a fine pin to shoot 100 yard targets. I also like the visibility of larger pins.

.019 for me.

Only a hunter and other than very early morning and very late afternoon, the .010's just disappear for me.

The best long range shooting I've ever done was with .029" pins. Consistently busted nocks and ruined fletching at 60+ yards. I tried all .010" in a 5-pin SH Hunter for 3D. Hated it. I have all .019 in my 7-pin Hunter and even they dim at times in low light. So I sent the 5-pin back and had them replace with all .029's. Love it.

Thanks for all the replies! I plan on putting the sight on a 6 inch dovetail is going with the smaller pin going to change much with making a pin look fuzzy, smaller etc?
