Polarizer on scope?

I have a couple rifle setups for hunting (400 yrd or less) and range (out to 1k yrds) and was curious if anyone recommends a polarizer on their scope? I’ve never used one and don’t have any buddies who have, but a guy at my range mentioned it and curious about what others experience is with them? Would probably go on either NF NXS or Leupold mk5 hd. Thanks!

I’ve never seen the need for one, but a scope shade does wonders when you’re practically shooting into the sun. Other than that, the need hasn’t arose for me.
