I did not see alot of information on old 6.5 Swedes when I search this sight.

I have an original action 65.x55 Swedish rifle. I've heard this round performs well at high speeds but have to be careful with pushing fps in the old action.

I am aware every gun is different but am looking for any ideas on powders that work for others with an old action.

Right now I'm seeing the best results from 43.2 grains of RL22.

The Hodgdon site lists many for the full range of bullet weights . I have had great luck with IMR 4350 and H 4895 .

Rl 19; rl 22/23; IMR 4350; h4831 are all great powders for the swede. I own three rifles, including a Mauser, in Swede and handload them all. The Mausers prefer heavier bullets, as they were designed for a 160 gr round if I remember correctly. Nosler partition 140 gr would be ideal. I believe I use h4831 with them for best results.
