Hi guys. I had received a couple questions about the rifle I have been slowly putting together over the last 2 years. Well, it's finally done and I wanted to post an update with info about the build, parts used, etc. It may also be the first chance for some to see the new MDT ESS in the wild. I have one of the first few shipped so far and it is an incredible piece of engineering.

And since i'm at it, I noticed there wasn't a good "gun pics" thread. So I'll get the ball rolling. Put up a picture of your rifle below. It's always great seeing different stuff out there and what other people do.

RPR in 6.5 and NEMO in .300 Win

The RPR in 6.5 has really impressed me. Banging steel at 800 yards is a cinch. 1000 takes a little more work, but is easily do-able. Last range session with 5-15mph winds I finished up going 4 for 4 shots at 1000 with Prime factory ammo.

-Savage 6.5cm model 11 trophy predator hunter
-bell and Carlson m40 new not yet shot with
-Burris XTRii 3-15x50 new not yet mounted

with the old bushnell atop and the crappy 20$ Tupperware stock and factory ammo it always treated me right out to 1100 yards plinking and killed a mulie last season with it at 275 yards a chip shot for the ol girl, I'm anxious to see if the groups tighten up with the new stock and testing a variety of factory ammo

Those Tikka's are so good for the $. I've shot quite a few and most of them deliver this kind of accuracy. I think my next rifle might be a CTR in 6.5...

Matt

You should of seen my 5 shot groups. Pretty much just one ragged hole. If you go to pick one up talk to Jason McCann at Tikka Performance/Mountain Tactical in 4 Corners. He can usually beat the prices at the big box stores.

Here's a great mountain hunting rifle we did not to long ago. One of my favorites. It's a trued 700 SA, jewell trigger, manners carbon stock and fluted Walther barrel. It's scary accurate and weighs in around 5.5-6lbs. Not a 14lb precision rifle, but pretty sweet.

If you don't mind me asking, what are you into that set up? I've been really considering a Cooper for the obvious reasons but am still on the fence to go this route or something similar.

I think that one was pushing 4k w/o the scope. Honestly, get a Cooper. You will not regret it. I have shot quite a few of them and they are all very very accurate.
