Preferred Barrel Tikka Prefit Experiences

I was wondering what you guys are experiencing with Preferred Barrel Prefits. There was one thread on hear from last year, but it was about 50/50 on them. Looking at a 22 Creed from them.

I have a 7-08 and 22br from them for a Tikka action. They are good shooters and Bryce is great to communicate with.

I am in the PVA or Preferred debate as well. I don't know much about PVA either though.

I got a PVA osprey prefit that I just screwed on my match rifle. More info in the tikka thread. The jury is still out on it and unfortunately I pulled the scope off that rifle till next years shooting season.

Machine work was excellent and it Headspaced fine.

Only downside of PVA is your looking at a 3b contour or bigger. Which for me is okay.

Wish proof pushed out more options for short suppressed builds in the prefit category.

PVA did offer a custom contour option for a little more money. I submitted a question to them to see if they can do contours smaller then the 3B.

Have a 6.5x284 #4 sporter tikka prefit from them. Round count is prolly around 400. Holding up really well even with some high round count stringing. Really nice barrel so far I’ll take a few pictures of some groups when I get a chance.

I purchased one last year in 6.5 PRC pre-fit Tikka, and it shoots great sub1/4 Moa, with hand loads

I’m going to order an 18” 6 creed prefit from preferred today. They said they’d do the Tikka contour flared at the end to thread 5/8. Only $30 extra for custom contour

That's good to know. That's not a bad price. It was going to cost me 30 dollars to get an adapter to go from 1/2x28 to 5/18x24.

Too late. I was going to ask them about that but forgot. I just sent them an email to see if there’s anything they can do for me. If not, no big deal. Still cheaper than carbon

What length barrel? Bullet? And what are you seeing for velocity? I was just looking at a 22creed barrel on their site. I'd be looking to go short for a suppressor.

26” #1 sporter contour. Doing 3425fps with 75eldms, 73AH doing 3575fps, 88eldms 3300. 77tmk is a no go, 4 out of 5 will explode in air. I’m not fan of going short barrel on a grossly overbore cartridge, but to each their own.

How have the 88 Eldm’s preformed for you? That’s what I want to build the 22 Creed for.
