New bow (First one purchased not used) came in today. Spent some time pulling on a 70# version with 29” DL at dealer.

42 day wait.

Can’t wait to get her up and running. Going to take awhile as I have no time these days.

Came in at exactly 28.5” DL with 81.2#.

Going with Hamskea Hybrid Pro, New Black Gold Pro sight, and the quivilizer.

Looking at, but have finalized the Black Eagle X-Impacts, Ethics Archery 170 grn SS outserts, AAE 4 fletch.

Will test the Kudu and Bone 125 grn broadheads.

Got the rest installed today. Really impressed with the functionality and ease of the Hamskea. Used trophy taker in the past.

Three minor issues: The space between the cams and limb very tight. Tied off to axel. Have seen some other comments on this and should work fine.

The space for the horizontal adjustment for the rest is really tight. Had to loosen up the Flexis a bit to access with my archers allen wrench. Individual wrench would have probably got to it without doing so.

Had to fuss around with the quivilizer side attachment to get it fit right. Glad it had some functionality to do so.

Running the arrow right through the berger hole.

Have seen some feedback that the primes run nock high. I will adjust if needed when bare-shaft tuning.

Center shot right at 7/8ths.

I don’t have the fancy center-shot tools. Use the 7/8” measurement and the check by running a string centered on the limb bolts verify and “eyeball”. So additional tuning may be needed.

Great looking bow, I bought the same one with 70-80# limbs, except mine is Morel color green limbs and riser.

I also set mine with the Hamskea rest, I'm shooting it @ 75# 28.5: DL with a 500 grain VAP TKO shafts and I'm getting 275 fps.

I would be happy with speeds in that realm and glad to hear it is possible. Archers advantage has 301fps or something which I seriously doubted and checked my inputs like 30 times as I was sure I made a mistake as I am looking at 534 grn arrow.

Got the new arrow saw setup last night. Hopefully get some bare-shaft tuning in soon.

I honestly doubt you'll reach 300fps, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if you were in the upper 280s-low 290s. Please post your numbers once you find out.

Mine came out to 83.95# KE and .611MO[/QUOTE]

Got the BG pro-sight and the quivilizer side attachment installed. The extended dovetail really puts the sight out there. Feel like I’m going to have to play around with the mount for quivilizer a bit.

It just sits right on the adjustment handle or right next to the rest. Going to try this first as I prefer to have it away from rest.

Here is my old bow with older Ascent BG for some perspective.

Wow that is way out there! I've been looking at that sight. I really like the truss sight bar.

Arrows built, minus fletching.

Ethics outserts ended up working out pretty good. I was worried in weight variations after I got done trimming them down to weight I was looking for. No sanding or alteration to the arrow was needed after I cleaned up the cut on the insert. The sleeves were an easy fit. After I let the glue cure for several hours, applied a bead around the base. Not as clean of a look, but wanted to have the extra adhesion.

Black Eagle 250’s cut to 27”: ~265 grn
Outserts, cut to 110 grn, w/ sleeve: ~120 grn
Kudu Broadhead: 125 grn
Arrow Wrap: 6 grn
Total: 517.6

Made 6 arrows.

Average weight: 517.4 grn
Deviation: +\- .9 grn
Lightest: 516.2
Heaviest: 518.8

Did you go with the aluminum hood on the quivalizer?

I’ve tuned several of these with the new Trinity rest. They all tuned easily. Prime did well. Like your rig. Using the Quivilizer with metal hood as well and like that over a normal stabilizer, and I saved some weight. Enjoy the set up,

I went with molded hood. Called Option Archery prior to purchase to get a better sense of the difference. Just didn’t see the value of the machined hood for the extra cost. If I ever change my mind or the molded hood “wears” out (Not sure how that will happen) I can always go purchase the machined hood independently.

Hoping the tuning comes easy to me.

Just need more hours in the day.....

This setup is coming in slightly heavier than my old one. So really glad I shaved some weight by not having the stab/tight spot combo. The weight with the quivilizer is definitely pulled forward and the bow balances nicely. While the tight spot is a great quiver, I still had to correct for the weight on the side it is mounted to since I opted to go without a sidebar.
