What’s the deal with 209 primers being so hard to come by? I found some online but they couldn’t be shipped. Any relief coming soon on them being in the shelves?

If you haven’t noticed, powder and primers have been scarce for a long time. Starting to see some pistol primers and a few US made 209s showing up in recent days and months. I just bought a brick of Federal 209As last week from Midway. Euro 209s like Cheddites have been widely available for some time.

Yea the blackhorn has been hard to find but it’s starting to show up. I got lucky with local walmart. Snagged 16 oz for 60$

Not sure how I miss that. I have notifications set with midway for Federal 209A and CCI 209M. Ideally I can jump on federal 209a as those are hottest burners right? Still weird that I didn’t get a notification.

Midway’s system is screwed up. I had an alert set too but didn’t get notified. A member on another forum posted that they were avail. I went to the site and searched for available “209 primers.” Only Cheddites came up. Then I searched for available “primers” and they came up. Go figure.

Yes, Fed 209As and CCI mags are the hottest US 209s. Fiocchi mag 616s are hotter though.

You sure it is 16 oz. and not 10 oz. ? In fact, it might even be 8 oz. of powder since they are selling that net weight at about 70 some bucks now. The container I bought years ago is a 10 oz.

Yea it was 2 8oz cams for 32 each
