The Crowsnest pass in Alberta is a pristine area with an abundance of opportunity for hunters and anglers alike. The current Alberta government has removed bans on open pit mining in the mountains under everyone’s nose in order to open up a large number of coal mines in our eastern slopes. There are 5 mines purposed in the immediate area with the Grassy mine project well underway. Access has already been restricted in many areas. This has the potential to take vast amounts of land from the public, displace wildlife and pollute our limited water supply.
