Making the final decisions on getting a new Tacoma. Worked out the price I am getting a good deal I think. I few hundred under invoice price.

My last questions are for those who have a double cab with a 6ft bed. How did the amount of room feel. Obviously the back will not be that comfortable for full size grown men. I usually only on hunt with one guy and my kids. So I am sure it will work. But for those who have done longer hunting trips did the bed size bother you or is there enough room to pack a camp. Also how did it did it do pulling a small cargo trailer or flat bed with a quad/utv.

I am pretty sure tomorrow I am going to get it just a few last minute thoughts.
Thanks

No problem towing. It has a pretty high tow capacity. It revs kind of high if you are towing more that 3-4K pounds uphill, but no worries.

The 6’ bed is pretty roomy. I would not recommend the factory tonneau cover. It’s nice, but severely limits bed capacity.

the four-door is pretty spacious in the backseat area. the front guys cant ride all slung back and low, but it's surprisingly roomy back there.

Loved my 2007 Tacoma TRD Sport quad cab. Such a great truck. Had to sell it for heavier duty truck for hauling unfortunately. The guy who bought it from me still has it and drives it every day. Almost to 300,000 miles.

I post a pic this weekend doing what it is meant to do
TDR off-road with the off-road package. Not happy about having a truck payment again but I think the time was right. I have been thinking about it for over a year and when my 4*4 went out in my truck I figured it was time

congrats. I'm on my 3rd Tacoma. Quad cab with 6 ft bed is the way to go. I only have 5 ft'r on my current rig and wish I had a 6. Does excellent off road.

The Kodiak Canvas truck tents are deployed with the tailgate down extending your living space. Nice to be up off the ground, particularly in areas with lots of creepy crawlers, snakes, rodents, etc. or in wet weather...no mud to deal with. My Ram has a 5'7" bed...but with the tailgate down I have plenty of extra room inside for a 6'6" mattress. I don't remove the Bakflip MX4 tonneau cover when using it, it makes a nice shelf inside and I can flip it all the way up if desired. A Bedrug is a must for insulation, padding and makes the tent so cozy. Far superior bed liner than the other choices.
