I’m looking into pack organizers like the kifaru pullouts and similar models from other companies. Hoping to get some visual ideas of sizes and how many I’ll need.

Post some pictures of what you use, what’s in them with the size.

I bought a set of mesh organizer bags from Amazon for $10. There were 3 different sized bags. They work great for the price and they weigh nothing.

That’s pretty much what I’m looking at but I’m a visual person so seeing the bag size and what’s in it helps me a lot more than just seeing the lists in other posts.

Good timing. Just started getting my pack ready for a backcountry fishing trip in two weeks. Anyways, the Kifaru pull out set is what I use the most. Mainly because they are perfectly sized for what I use them for.

In the following pics, you’ll see the extra small through the extra large laid out left to right. With a 16.9 ounce bottle of water for size comparison.

Extra small is first aid. Small is kill kit. Medium is my camp pull out with camp supplies, extra batteries, fuel, single mantle lantern, etc.... the large I use for change of socks, one base layer and vest. Extra large is for food. I can get 5-6 days of food in it.

I own some seek outside ones as well. They are excellent too. Just shaped different. I can’t remember the sizes they are but, the ones I have is about equal to Kifaru’s medium/latge. I hope this helped.

I would recommend getting the ultralights from Kifaru or others. Bought a set of the originals and they were pretty heavy material.

I would take a look at the Osprey, Eagle Creek, and/or sea to summit options as well .. really well made, several light weight and U/L options .. only caveat is they typically are in brighter colors but if they are in your pack it shouldn't matter what color

Something to watch with a ton of pullouts. You can quickly start adding pounds to your pack with a bunch of them. I love the organization though. So I've moved more into a hybrid system of DIY dyneema sacs, using game bags for organization and then choosing a bag with better built in. organization.

What size would you use to hold 7-10 days worth of food?
I don't believe they make one that will hold that much food for me. 5-6 days is tight and only possible with Oatmeal and ramen packs as some of the meals for breakfast and supper. All freeze dried meals packs take up a lot of room.

I use the pull outs from kifaru and a guide lid. I can arrive in camp, empty pack and set eveything in order as needed in minutes. Everything is organized. Everything stays clean. Best gift the wife has gotten me in a long time.

Depending how much you eat, the big bag from kifaru can get you close. I put 12 meals in it from back packers pantry. Most were two servings. I hung it in a tree each day. Worked rather well.

My snacks were in three gallon size ziploks. I could have probably fit them all in one bag which is what I'll do this year.

I have the 4 available sizes of the Kifaru UL pullouts. Wonderful for sure. May order another 2 medium sized pull outs for perhaps different scenarios....

I use a Kifaru pullout for my kill kit and ziplocks for everything else. Like stated those pullouts can add.

It's also nice them being see thru.
