Do you guys hook the upper compression straps to the bag or frame?

For regular hunting I just go to the bag side. If I'm packing into an area or packing anything heavy (50+) I move them to the frame. Day hunting I honestly don't think it matters but heavier loads it would benefit to go to the frame. Seems easier to find if it's on the bag side so that's kinda why I do it that way. I'm in and out of those side pockets a lot.

I hook mine to the frame. Kind of just a byproduct of where my tripod and trekking poles sit on either side of my pack.

I think that's my exact plan. Run it to the bag unless I'm packing out, then switch to the frame.

Thanks guys
