I’ve had two feet of snow in September the last 10 years. Rain has never been the issue.

Ask your guide. Unsure of the exact terrain and the hunting you’ll be doing but I’m guessing forested and not alpine. If it snows gaiters and rain pants will be your friend.

If price isn’t an issue I’d recommend the brushed face thunderhead from Sitka. If not that I’d just find a brushed face alternative

I’d recommend an umbrella. Not for rain…it doesn’t do that in SW MT, but you’ll need it for shade. There is a better chance of 80 degrees than a significant amount of rain.

I like kuius chugach. I have used it for the last 5 years or so and it's still holding up. And I must be out of the norm, cause I have been absolutely pissed on the first two weeks in Montana
